Android 16 KB Page Requirement
Contents
Starting Nov. 1, 2025, all new apps and updates submitted to Google Play that target Android 15 or later must support 16 KB memory page sizes. If your app that embeds CoPilot is not updated to a CoPilot version that supports 16 KB pages before Nov. 1, Google Play will prevent you from publishing app updates.
What is the 16 KB page size requirement?
Historically, Android has only supported 4 KB page size. Starting with Android 15, Android enables devices to use 16 KB pages to optimize performance for larger RAM configurations.
Starting Nov. 1, Google Play will block app updates that do not support 16 KB page sizes.
- Effective date: Nov. 1, 2025
- Applies to: All Android apps on Google Play
- Impact of non‑compliance: You will be unable to publish updates until your app supports the 16 KB page size requirement.

Does this affect me?
This requirement affects you if both:
- Your application embeds CoPilot for Android (CPIK)
- You distribute that application via the Google Play Store
If you use the standalone CoPilot app from Google Play, no action is required. Support was added in the CoPilot 11.2 release.
What do I need to do?
If you embed CoPilot in your app (Enterprise CPIK):
- Update to the CoPilot 10.28.2.387 (or later) CPIK release, which includes 16 KB page size support.
- Rebuild and re-release your app to Google Play using the updated CoPilot version.
- Verify your app works on representative devices, including those that support 16 KB page sizes.
If you use the standalone CoPilot app from Google Play, no action is needed. CoPilot 11.2 and later include support.
What happens if I do nothing?
Starting Nov. 1, 2025, Google Play will prevent you from publishing app updates.
