PC*Miler Rail-Connect mapping API libraries discontinued

PC*Miler Rail-Connect 28, released in January 2022, was the final version to include mapping API libraries. These libraries enabled the display of rail maps within applications integrated with PC*Miler Rail-Connect.

Existing integrations will continue to function, and rail maps will remain accessible in future versions through the PC*MILER Rail user interface.

What does “discontinued” mean?

Trimble MAPS will no longer provide mapping APIs with PC*MILER Rail-Connect integrations. Technical support for mapping APIs will be available until December 31, 2022, for subscribers with active support contracts. After January 1, 2023, support, software updates, and data updates will no longer be provided.

What alternatives are available for rail maps?

Rail maps are available through our JavaScript Maps SDK, which is licensed separately from PC*MILER Rail-Connect.
