What is PC*Miler Rail-Connect?

PC*Miler Rail-Connect is a legacy solution that enables transportation professionals and software developers to access PC*Miler Rail features from external applications. With Rail-Connect, client applications can retrieve PC*Miler Rail mileage, state-by-state mileage breakdowns, and detailed station reports. For new implementations, Trimble recommends using the Freight Rail API.

Rail-Connect supports easy integration of PC*Miler Rail mileage into popular software like Microsoft Excel, as well as custom applications built with development environments such as Visual Basic and Borland C++. It is provided as a 32-bit DLL product designed to run in a 32-bit Windows environment.

PC*Miler Rail-Connect calculates mileage for origin-destination pairs, including intermediate stop-off points. Locations can be specified by station and state, SPLC, FSAC (freight station code), ERPC (3-3-3), or Rule 260. The Rail-Connect DLL is built to meet the routing and mileage reporting needs of custom rail and shipper application development.
